For any Elkridge Hurricanes baseball team, taking the Stars & Strikes Tournament title is a coveted accomplishment. The tournament is the crown jewel of the Elkridge Youth Organization Travel Baseball program.

Run entirely by the coaches and parents, it accommodates up to 250 teams from 8U to 18U, and is one of the biggest single weekend tournaments in the state of Maryland.

It's a massive undertaking that requires all hands on deck to ensure its success. Each team bears the responsibility of acting as a dedicated grounds crew, concessions operator, and on-site official, as well as a participant.

For every Elkridge team, the event is more than just a tournament, it's a right of passage. The effort makes any player, coach, or parent know what it truly means to be a part of the Hurricane community.

All the Hurricanes' teams have done it donning the orange, green, and white, and have created an undeniable history of success. That success carries weight, and anyone who has the privilege of putting the uniform on feels obligated to be part of that excellence.

Winning Stars & Strikes cements your legacy and legitimacy. From that moment forward, regardless of what achievements come, you have contributed to the exceptionalism of the program and earned your spot in its rich history.

This past Memorial Day Weekend, two Elkridge teams took with them more than a trophy, they took home the irrevocable pride of being Stars & Strikes Champions. One other stood tall and represented as a finalist.
